Kopanito is a game that has more in common with the football games of an earlier age than modern ultra-realistic super-productions like FIFA and PES. In it, you select two teams, and the only difference between them is the person holding the controller. There's no arguments about who gets the best player in the world, or even the starting formation: just a bunch of little guys who play football. And there's no need to spend hours sitting in front of your screen to be the best. All the more so because being the best doesn't necessarily mean you'll be the winner. Special powers are available during the game, and they might just flip the course of the match on its head. They aren't all the same, though: some guarantee a goal, while others serve no real purpose (we're looking at you, fan behind the goal). With its highly polished artistic direction, it’s a cross between a cartoon and the simplistic graphics of old-school sports games. You know, the games that are now gathering dust in a drawer somewhere. In addition to a friendly match mode, you can also take part in tournaments that take place all around the world. Win cups and leagues to unlock new teams, stadiums, and balls. But yet again, beyond the colour of the strips all of the teams are the same. The balls and pitches don't affect the gameplay either. Like every football game, Kopanito All-Stars Soccer is much better when played with friends, so ideally you'll have two controllers! The gameplay is easy to get to grips with, but it will take a bit of practice to be the best of the best. The whole family can get in on the action for some footballing fun, even if they've got no interest in staying up to watch Match of the Day.
